NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

On Friday evening, June 26, 2020, Comanche ISD received notice that a student who was on a district campus all of this past week has had direct exposure to an individual who recently tested positive for COVID-19. The student is currently self quarantining at home, is not displaying any symptoms of the virus, and has not tested positive for the virus.

All Comanche ISD buildings will be deeply sanitized, and all students
and staff who were in the area where the student was have been notified.
All students and staff who have been in a school building during this week should continue to follow CDC guidelines and recommendations and practice social distancing.

For your information, we believe the end of the 14-day incubation period for anyone possibly exposed to the student is July 10, 2020.

As a result of this information and in an abundance of caution, we are suspending summer workouts until July 13, 2020. No students will be allowed on campus until that date.

With that same abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your health, follow CDC guidelines, and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms.

The District will continue to monitor this situation and will provide additional information as needed.    Although no Comanche ISD student or staff member has tested positive, we are taking every precaution to protect our students and staff.  The health and safety of our students and staff members is our highest priority.

TECHNOLOGY SURVEY 20-21

The Technology Department of Comanche ISD would like to ask your help in determining the technology availability and needs of students for On-Line Learning in the 20-21 school year.  If you have students in grades PK-12, please answer this survey.  It does not matter if you are planning on your students being at school or learning from home.

SCHOOL SURVEY 2020-2021

As we continue to monitor guidance from the Texas Education Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health officials, Comanche ISD leaders are moving forward in planning for August 2020 and beyond.  In an effort to make decisions in the best interest of our students, parents and staff, we have developed a brief survey for our parents and staff regarding possible options for the fall semester.  We will use this feedback to help inform decisions, while also continuing to monitor for updates and guidance from local, state and national officials.  Please stay tuned to the Comanche ISD social media pages, local radio, and district website for additional updates throughout the summer.
